“Equals”: Todo lo que debes saber del nuevo álbum de Ed Sheeran

El 2019 se despidió con una noticia que nos entristeció a todas las fans de Ed Sheeran, pues el británico anunciaba que se retiraba de la música temporalmente para poder criar a su bebé. Pero, como era solo algo momentáneo, el cantante nos sorprendió con el lanzamiento de “Bad Habits” en junio de 2021.

Todo hacía suponer que pronto tendríamos un nuevo álbum y así fue. A través de un live en Instagram, el compositor de 30 años anunció que lanzaría “Equals” (nombre que sigue la línea de sus anteriores trabajos +, x, y ÷), su cuarto álbum de estudio y ha revelado el setlist completo del disco, el cual contará con 14 canciones.

¿Cuándo sale “Equals” el nuevo álbum de Ed Sheeran?

El disco estará a la venta el próximo 29 de octubre, pero, si quieres ser de las primeras en obtenerlo, ya puedes pre ordenarlo a través de su página web y puedes obtenerlo tanto en digital como en CD, vinil o casete.

“Empecé a escribir y grabar este álbum en junio de 2017. Ha sido un proceso muy, muy largo. He pasado por el amor, la pérdida, la nueva vida, el dolor y todo lo demás durante todo el período de escritura, y siento que es realmente un disco de la mayoría de edad. Nunca he estado más orgulloso de un trabajo, ni más emocionado/nervioso de que lo escuchen”, escribió el artista en Instagram junto a la portada del álbum.

Asimismo, el artista compartió con sus fans un fragmento de la canción “Visiting Hours”, cuya letra refleja el amor y la nostalgia y que fue dedicado especialmente para su amigos Michael, quien falleció durante el 2020.
